www.iwantgreatcare.org includes suspected fake reviews

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

(update 14/04 2020) so you'll see Dr Hussain from Corby has entries on 25th March and 2nd April, ''thorough check remembered paient from before'' and the other one is identical but with correct spelling of 'patient'. St Mary's Kettering on 27th March has 'living well with dementia all good thanks' followed by a few more on the same date repeating 'living well with dementia' so if they are not faking reviews, which I still believe they are, then they are certainly racking up the numbers of reviews overall to make themselves look better by entering so many duplicates. This is one example - there are many more.

I think readers can view Northamptonshire Health Care Foundation Trust's reviews and make up their own minds. The DPO states forms are freely given out by receptionists, yet for 8 years I've never seen a single form or ever told me about the forms or service - he insults my intelligence by telling me to next time ask for a form as they are apparently being offered to most patients except me! So have I been discriminated against for 8 years by NHFT? Perhaps I have been given what DPO said! They are saying forms are better suited to those with learning difficulties although it looks like 95% of them are forms so they still imply most people have learning difficulties. As I said before I rang the hospitals involved and they stated they don't give out forms or tell people about them unless anyone asks for them at reception so what the DPO said doesn't tie in with what the hospital receptionist themselves are saying anyway. Its also noteworthy that I told Pete Marshall, Data Protection Officer, not to bother emailing me again - and he came straight back with another reply within minutes, totally disregarding the fact I didn't want any more emails off them and I feel he did this simply to have the last word.

So I left a review for a doctor and a gynae at NHFT on the ‘I want great care’ website. As I sat and read through most of the rest of the reviews it became blindingly obvious someone at NHFT was playing the system. The reviews, left in batches, are all very similar in wording and in the compliments given, praise the same person in several on the same day, and all contain very very obvious patterns. One person may be praised in succession then not mentioned again, some have 4 or 5 bullet points with full stops, and other obvious patterns. For example, in one day 5 reviews have identical comments in the comment section and this pattern follows throughout for various doctors and hospitals in North Northamptonshire. Other parts of Northamptonshire NHS don't have these obvious patterns in feedback. I alerted the website to this as they state in their terms people cannot leave their own reviews but they defended it as NHFT pay them to leave reviews, and added:

‘’Paper forms are accessible to patients who might not have access to or the ability to use a computer and patients with varying levels of literacy.’’

So basically because I said many of the reviews contain poor English (they are clearly written by the same one person) the lady replying from 'I want Great Care' basically dismissed it as everyone in Northamptonshire being illiterate and stupid.

The strange thing is I’ve been treated by some of these doctors and hospitals for years in the past and no one has ever told me about feedback forms nor are they readily available anywhere so I feel this simply is untrue.

It is strange that Dr Hussain https://www.iwantgreatcare.org/doctors/mr-shahid-hussain gets 500+ feedback all from scanned in paper forms by NHFT and only one or 2 of these are completed online. Surely scanning the paper forms in makes it easier for someone there to scam the system and it is blindingly obvious the same person is leaving feedback for him, Dr Latif, St Mary’s Kettering, Isebrook Wellingborough and Northamptonshire health foundation trust, with only a few genuine reviews on these pages. BTW I left the one for Dr Hussain on 11th March!

The doctors and hospitals involved have stated they do not give out feedback forms as standard and do not inform patients about them, they are only given to patients who request to give feedback from reception. So how do we explain large numbers of feedback all sounding similar for North NHFT when the rest has differing and more realistic numbers.

Read most of Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust reviews for yourself - you'll spot the patterns in no time!

I strongly suspect someone at NHFT is playing the system when it comes to the copious amount of positive reviews left and that iwantgreatcare is turning a blind eye.
