Nabil Abou-Rahme and wife Ioana befriend abusers and mock depression as being demonic

Updated: Dec 17, 2021

I came forward to the police about a serial paedophile few years ago, who later went to court and to prison. As a survivor of sexual abuse it is little surprise that I presented at my GP's office with a worsening of depression as this took place. Much to my surprise (or horror) I learnt the hard way the teaching indoctrinated in some Charismatic and Pentecostal Christians regarding the subject of mental health.

My brother re-married very hurriedly in 2011 after we all lost Zoe to cancer few months prior. In their whirlwind romance I barely knew his new wife, Ioana Abou-Rahme, and she knew nothing of my struggles. I began opening up a bit at their home once after their marriage and I reached sentence 3 in the conversation when she declared 'it is the demons in you' and began to explain that myself and anyone else who suffers from any depression are in fact simply demon possessed.

Given my brother Nabil Abou-Rahme never properly believed me when I disclosed abuse age 12 and didn't believe me about much else I disclosed following and didn't support me going to court, they ditched me totally after Ioana's iconic realisation that I had demons in me (cue spooky old mansion music mwwaaahhh mwwwahhh) seriously though - it is a very sad fact that mental health in charismatic circles is viewed in this way. It also deflects blame from the paedophile who caused the depression by blaming the demonic abuse victim, who probably has enough on their plate without being called witch.

What also made this worse is that Nabil was friendly with Cundick and Colin Batchelor from London Gospel Hall at the time who had also sexually assaulted me. To not be loyal to an abuse victim is one thing but to then declare her depression stemming from assaults as demonic is appalling.

If you need to know who Nabil is then the blighter is here at https://uk.linkedin.com/in/abourahme

I've seen some very sad articles about this also such as https://www.cmf.org.uk/resources/publications/content/?context=article&id=619

and clearly it is heavily indoctrinated into their minds.

Wise up guys - if someone suffers abuse they are going to suffer depression and there ain't no demons in my head thank you! Are there any demons in your closet guys?
