I was sent for an urgent blood test at Kettering General Hospital last week during the Coronavirus lockdown (after blood clotting disorder explains miscarriages and I may need to go on long term blood thinners) and was so thankful for the truly selfless NHS nurse who took my blood sample.
We got chatting as my impossible veins were taking ages to show up and she informed me her husband is a kidney transplant patient and so while she is at work in the current pandemic she and her husband who is self-isolating have to stay in separate rooms and communicate via mobile phone and video chat whilst living in the same house!
I was really touched by NHS staff who care so much to do their job that their own personal lives are being severely disrupted at this difficult time.
thank you ;)
