The ICO quoted me 12 weeks (when I put in a complaint last July 2019) to start looking into cases as they said they had a backlog.
They then said they would kindly speed it up and start looking into it mid-Oct.
We had an arsey email from a guy assigned to the case end of Oct. We then didn't hear for a while and found out said arsey guy had left the organisation.
Queue new lady who takes over said casework. In February 2020 said lady asks for confirmation of person I'd complained about as she realised she had written to a different person with the same name - pretty basic mistake to make. She had not thought to clarify who it was, just assumed and write to the wrong person.
The person who received the letter in error told her who she probably should be writing to and gave her their details!
Several phonecalls and emails later - no reply - looks like someone else has abandoned their casework as we're still waiting for a reply 9 months later!!!!
